Dr. Kenneth Cohen, representing Atlanta Humane Society says "I love all dogs, have found good homes for many dogs over the last 40 years, visit AHS occasionally and admire what they do on a large scale to find good homes for homeless and abandoned dogs."
Diane Robinson and her team at Atlanta Humane Society are thrilled to compete with Dr. Kenneth and she says "The mission of the Atlanta Humane Society is to improve animal welfare in the southeastern United States by providing quality animal services including preventative initiatives, education, advocacy and adoption of animals into permanent loving homes.
The vision of the Atlanta Humane Society is to be the premier leader and organizational resource for the welfare and protection of companion animals in the southeastern United States.
The Atlanta Humane Society and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Inc. was founded in 1873 and is the city’s oldest, private, not-for-profit animal welfare organization. Originally chartered to help women and children as well, the AHS now focuses its efforts on addressing the pet overpopulation problem and encouraging pet adoption in Georgia. With two campuses, in Atlanta and Alpharetta, the pet rescue and animal welfare organization offers the public numerous opportunities either to donate or get involved."
