Maruquel Staab and her dog Margarita, representing Butler County Humane Society say "Margarita is a 12 yr. old smooth fox terrier. She is a real fighter. She had so many health issues but always fights herself back to health. She had a massive brain/ear infection when she was 4 years old. Some amazing vets did surgery on her and saved her. As a result, half of her face is paralyzed. Later she had some mast cell tumors and we also got those removed. Two winters ago, she developed a horrible tumor in one of her back paws and she lost 2 toes but she recovered amazingly well! She's such a good doggie and we will do anything to keep her comfy and healthy. We love her so much and all we want is for her to enjoy "her golden years!"
Katie Austin and her team at Butler County Humane Society says "The Butler County Humane Society, a non-profit organization, in association with the Helen Spade Albig Adoption Center, provides a temporary, safe, no-kill shelter for homeless, adoptable dogs and cats ultimately placing them in loving homes or with caring rescues while increasing community awareness of the humane treatment of animals through education, spay-neuter programs, rabies clinics, and the respect for life."
