My blind hound loves it!
My 10 year old Basset Hound, Ralph loves it and that's whats most important. Ralph our 10 year low to the ground, 70lb. hound went blind in both eyes from glaucoma about two years a go and I was a little concerned about climbing on and off of the dog cot. I modified it slightly by shortening the legs and he does great and he loves the fleece cushion. Overall this dog bed allows for a cleaner sleeping area and it's much cleaner that the big cushioned dog beds we've used in the past. We love it, only wish we had pulled the trigger sooner on the Kuranda.

Love these beds. I purchased two more
These are so lightweight. Much easier to pick up and move than a regular dog bed. I have Bassets and their clawing and drool, and general messiness doesn't even show. In fact, I wiped the bed down with an organic cleaner I make, and yes, the towel was dirty. But you'd never know it from the appearance of the bed.
