Love the aluminum bed

By erika from Massachusetts.
About Me: (Verified buyer)

Rated 5 out of 5.

Pros

  • Comfortable For Pet
  • Easy To Clean
  • Long Lasting
  • Soft

Comments:
My 200lob Mastiff has a choice of a sofa, a mattress type bed or the kuranda. He likes the kuranda. We also have the plastic kuranda beds which hold up really well, but for our big guys the aluminum will be our new standard.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Bought this for my English Mastiff puppy who is going to be a very big boy, and is a power-chewer! He likes his bed and it seems indestructible.
Reading comments about the difficulty of assembly, I didn't even try. A handy friend did it for me.
Now I knowy pup loves it I'll be ordering a cover for it.

Impossible to assemble

By Mattp from Canada.
About Me:

Rated 1 out of 5.

Comments:
Impossible to assemble. First three corners are easy, last one is impossible. We had four people torquing on the bed and wasted five hours of a day and still the final corner would not go on.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Our 140lb Great Dane would unzip every bed we bought for him and proceed to pull every bit of stuffing out! This Kuranda bed is the perfect solution. He loves to sleep on it during the day and hasn't even attempted to try and tear it up. If Kuranda could only show me a way to make him sleep on it at night instead of in our bed then life would be perfect! :-)

Two dobermanns

Comments:
Hi,
I love the concept of the bed, we have two dobermanns.....however they both refused to go on the bed.....we then invested even more money on a sheepskin throw and now they happily go on the bed. So all that to say, when transitioning to a trampoline bed from a regular plush dog bed, a cover is required. If the CND wasn't so bad right now I would've bought a cover from you as well, but with the exchange rate the bed already cost us an extra $100.
I am also extremely happy that I can vacuum it and wipe it down and it's like new again!
Thanks,
Kirsty

We bought the XL aluminum bed for our Great Dane puppy. He immediately loved it! It is outside his crate now because his crate is huge and blocked off partially. Initially, the plan was to place his bed inside his crate when he is bigger, but we have now decided to purchase a second bed so he has one when he is hanging around with us (ours is too big to pick up and move around the house conveniently).

Comments:
I found this bed and decided to give it a try for my Weimaraner and my Boxer. The boxer could have lovely soft beds if the weimie didn't eat them all. (Fellow weimie owners will understand they are 90% goat stubborn and will eat any non edible object). Again, the weimie is scared of and loathes anything new. She had to be coaxed back into her crate for a day or so till she stopped fearing the cot. She tried to scratch through the fabric with no luck and gave up. She has not bitten the sides and don't think she would do much damage if she could. It probably helps that the cot fits almost flush with our ginormous crate (made for mastiffs xxl dogs or multiples). We got the xl cot and it is plenty of room for a 60lb weimie and 55lb boxer with room to spare. I was beginning to worry about them sleeping on the hard crate pan with only a blanket due to the chewing issues. She is now comfortable enough to lay on her cot even when she has not been put in her crate, so it must be comfortable. These breeds have little body fat or fur for cushion, so they need a quality bed. Buy this bed it will change your life and the quality of life for your pets and won't break the bank.
