Fabrics
All of our fabrics and beds can be washed or hosed clean with soap, water and/or disinfectants.
Heavy Duty 40 oz. Vinyl
The choice of animal shelters and kennels for dogs that need the most durable furnishings, it provides the best abrasion resistance of any fabric we’ve found. The smooth non-porous surface enables easy cleaning; just spray and wipe clean. It will puddle when wet.
Cordura Nylon
Specially coated to resist staining, this abrasion resistant high-denier nylon has the feel and texture of traditional canvas. Cordura is usually found in outdoor backpacks and boots to provide the feel of canvas but with greater durability. It has a soft touch weave to provide excellent footing for dogs.
Vinyl Weave
Great for outdoor use, the open, water proof weave allows air and water to flow through, helping dogs stay cool and dry. It is frequently used outside and in hot climates where air circulation is beneficial. Vinyl weave fabric is not recommended for dogs that dig as it is the most susceptible to damage from their nails. Vinyl weave is the only fabric not included in our 1 year warranty.
Ballistic Nylon
This high denier nylon has the same rich appearance and durability of Cordura but the smooth finish doesn’t catch hair, making it easier to clean. Many kennel owners who prefer a strong canvas type material choose Ballistic Nylon for this reason. Specially coated to resist staining.

Great for Extra Large and Giant Breed Dogs…
Giant breed dogs as Great Danes are our best customers! We’ve been told they recognize and enjoy the healthy comfort Kuranda beds provide for their hips and joints. We insert a galvanized steel rod into our XL & XX Large Poly Resin bed frames for even more support. We haven’t found a Giant Breed (or two) that our aluminum bed couldn’t fit.

Guaranteed Chewproof
Unlike beds which wrap the fabric around the outside of a frame making it totally exposed for a dog to chew, Kuranda beds have a patented design which secures the fabric inside a special channel in the frame totally inaccessible to dogs. There are no corner gaps in the fabric or exposed edges that a dog could grab and chew. Dogs who are crated because they can chew and potentially be harmed by ingesting bedding are safe and comfortable with a Kuranda crate bed. Kuranda dog beds are backed with an all inclusive 1 year replacement warranty (*except vinyl weave fabric which is susceptible to damage from digging).

Provides the most Orthopedic Comfort…
The Kuranda dog bed evenly supports your pet unlike filled beds that can clump and become uneven. Veterinarians recommend this bed as especially beneficial for pets who suffer from hip problems, arthritis or aging. Because the bed supports the dog up off the floor it is easier for elderly dogs to get up from the bed than from the floor or very low beds. It provides firm support and an elevated barrier from cold, drafty or hard floors. The hammock design provides orthopedic comfort good for healthy hips and joints for dogs of all ages and prevents ugly elbow calluses caused from laying on a hard floor. Easiest to Clean
Unlike cushioned beds which hold odors and germs, Kuranda beds are easily wiped clean with a sponge. The entire bed can be hosed off outside or washed in the shower using soap and water. Vacuuming and mopping under the bed is a breeze. Kuranda beds stand up for years with daily disenfecting in kennels and animal shelters.

Vinyl weave fabric allows air and water to flow through making it a great bed for outdoors to keep your dog off the damp ground and away from fleas and ticks. It is also perfect to keep swimming and incontinent dogs high and dry, or to take camping!

Our Standard Bed heights are 6″ for beds up to size Large and 9″ for X-Large & XX-Large. We ship an additional set of 3″ legs with our Crate Beds.

What is Poly Resin?
Our Patented, poly resin bed frame is constructed from Furniture Grade Co-Extruded Pipe. Using two different types of PVC’s that are fused together. The inside material provides great structural strength while the harder outer shell provides a beautiful, furniture grade finish.
This outer layer has a glossy finish that is extremely resistant to damage by chemicals or ultraviolet rays of the sun. By combining these two types of PVC in our frame, we can provide a product that can endure a wide range of environments.
