Cat Beds

Kuranda Cat Bed Our new Cat Bed provides the same raised, orthopedic comfort as the dog bed, but the size was especially designed to fit into cat cages. The additional level increases floor space as well as gives the cat the opportunity to jump up and view the world from his/her raised perch. The long legs of the bed accommodate a litter pan underneath the bed. As with our dog beds, the PVC frame and solid vinyl fabric is non porous and can be fully sanitized with bleach or disinfectant making them a good choice for community cat rooms as well.

The size of the Cat Bed is 20" long, 15" wide and 14" high suitable for use in standard 24"x24" or larger size stainless steel cages. To add them to your donation wish list you can sign in on this page and click on "Manage your donation choices." They are packaged for donation as a Set of Two Beds for $64 which includes shipping. A special kitty icon for your donation link can be found under "Click for the code to create a link from your website."

Cat beds are also available for your direct purchase at a discounted $31 per bed delivered on our Petfinder shopping cart http://kuranda.com/petfinder. Click here for more pictures and PDFs.

We are glad to be able to provide shelter cats with a soft bed to make their time at the shelter more comfortable--thanks for asking!

"Modern sheltering brings with it huge improvements (fewer dogs than 10 years ago, higher adoption rates, more rescue groups helping, etc) and with those improvements come new challenges: a longer length of stay, sometimes months or years on end, sometimes a lifetime, go hand in hand with the 'no-kill' movement. And with that responsibility must come new standards of caring for dogs in kennels. Keeping stress levels low for dogs in kennels is the ongoing challenge of the shelter. Every shelter dog deserves a bed, toys, lights out at night, daily human touch, training, and companionship. Having a clean, dry place to rest can make a huge difference in the quality of life of a shelter dog. A Kuranda bed should be in every kennel."
