GLEN BURNIE, MD Animal Shelters team up with the Kuranda Dog Bed Company to help provide their dogs with a soft, comfortable bed to lie on while they are in the shelter. The Donate a Bed Program allows people to send beds directly to a dog in their favorite shelter or rescue organization at a special discount. The donation can be sent in your own name, or as a gift in the name of a pet lover or family member and a personalized gift acknowledgment card will be mailed directly to them.

The public has embraced the Donate a Bed Program which is providing thousands of beds to shelter pets across the nation and we are hoping this Holiday Season the public will be especially kind in remembering how much of difference they can make for even one dog who for the most part spends 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on a cold, wet concrete floor. “The Program is a Win-Win-Win” says Carol Grandmougin, Director of Humane Programs for Kuranda. She says “the Dogs love the comfort of the beds, the Staff appreciates the dog’s opportunity to relax, and the Public is impressed with the high level of care provided for the dogs.”

To make a donation to your local Shelter or Rescue Group, log onto their website and look for their link requesting the donation of a Kuranda Dog Bed. The rest is easy. You will be shown a selection of the bed or beds that they need. All you will have to do is choose the bed you would like donated and it will be automatically sent to their address with a note telling them of your donation.

Dogs by nature do not like to eliminate where they sleep, so providing a raised bed where they live 24 hours a day makes life nicer for them. With more dogs staying a longer time in shelters than ever before, they really deserve the comfort these beds provide. Raised Kuranda beds make a big difference during their stay; dogs are less stressed by having their own comfortable bed making them more adoptable.
