Comments:
We now own 3 Kuranda beds.
Our most recent purchase was a cot for our 11 year old Standard Poodle. He is beginning to have a little difficulty in the mornings and the cot with a fleece pad seems to help alleviate some of that morning stiffness.
I also recently purchased a slightly larger crate cot for my American Staffordshire Terrier.
This little girl is all terrier and has destroyed all beds prior to her Kuranda!
One recommendation I would make to owners of aggressive chewers is to have your bed size ready before purchasing a new crate.
I upsized to a new crate before checking the dimensions against my new Kuranda crate bed and there is just enough room between the crate and bed for my AmStaff to get a purchase on the frame.
It will be an easy thing to fix but checking bed and crate size prior to purchasing the crate would have been better.

Comments:
My dog treats regular dog beds like gigantic chew toys, so I was on the lookout for a furniture style bed for him. He took to it right away, and it stays clean very easy. Assembling it was fairly easy[...] and took maybe 15 minutes. My dog can't chew it, and it looks very nice in my living room. I may invest in one of the plusher covers once he's a little less puppy-ish and over the chewing phase. He even jumps on it and I don't see any sign of the bed buckling or taking damage, so hopefully that means it will stand the test of time.

i have 3 dogs. 2 lab mixes & 1 catahoula mix ranging from 65-80lbs. the two youngest dogs take turns using the new XL kuranda cot. my oldest lab doesn't seem too interested in it but he's always been a floor kind of dog. just ordered my 2nd cot in a L for the smaller doggy. they all fit on the XL nicely with room to move around. simple to put together, light & easy to move around. feels sturdy & the material is made well. i ordered the vinyl cot & it seems to be just what i was looking for since i hate the fluffy dog beds that would stink & start too look junky after a few weeks. AND there is no stuffing to pull out of it! :)

i also plan to move the beds outside into the garage during the winter time for when my dogs are outside during the day while i'm at work. it'll keep them off the cold ground. and perfect to take along to the kennel when we have to board the dogs.

Great beds

Pros

  • Attractive Design
  • Comfortable For Pet
  • Easy To Clean

Comments:
I bought these beds for our summer home where the humid environment makes traditional fabric beds impractical. Our dogs are 9 years old and I wasn't at all sure they would take to sleeping on a different type of bed. No Problem! Both dogs hopped right up on the beds and that was that. They loved them. These beds are wonderful for keeping the dogs off the damp floors. I move the beds outside during the day and the dogs are off the grass and away from the biting bugs and ticks. Great beds!

Comments:
We got our first bed for our elderly greyhound. We were having trouble keeping her bed clean and it just smelled all of the time. We wanted something that would be supportive for her, wouldn't hold odors, and was easy to clean. The Kuranda Bed fit the bill. Then I saw a picture and review of two mastiffs in a XX-large bed, so we just ordered out second Kurunda Bed for our 2 boys(a goldendoodle and a golden retriever) who like to sleep together. We'll let you know how that works out!

time will tell

Pros

  • Attractive Design
  • Easy To Clean

Cons

  • Cover Is Not Secure

Best Uses

  • Large Pets

Comments:
we have 2 large dogs. Tilly the Great Dane is afraid of her bed because the cover slides around when she tries to get on it. She won't sleep on it. Harley the Irish Wolfhound seems to like the bed. Maybe she'll like it without the cover, or we'll try to secure the cover in some fashion.

Most pleased? me or the dog?

Comments:
Our 45 lb. dog used the bed right from the beginning. She is not allowed on other furniture, but took to using the Kuranda bed without encouragement. She spends the night in the kitchen, so is a very happy camper on her bed instead of the hard floor. The bed simply stands on edge during the day. My wife and and I could not be happier! I suspect our dog is happier yet.

Both dogs hate it!

Comments:
After hearing so many great things about these beds, we decided to order one for our 2 Bulldogs. Neither will get on it, or even near it! We noticed that it looks very flimsy, not exactly well-made. Definitely not worth the high price tag! So now we have an expensive bed just sitting there, not being used. It also doesn't look comfortable, both prefer to sleep on the floor vs. the bed. Money not well spent!

My dogs got Kuranda's, I got my bed back

Pros

  • Attractive Design
  • Comfortable For Pet
  • Easy To Clean
  • Long Lasting
  • Very Sturdystable

Cons

  • Metal Is Noisy

Best Uses

  • Large Pets

Comments:
My Ridgeback boys love their Kuranda classic cots. We are super impressed with the cots stability and durability. Only complaint is when the dogs move around at night (to change position, etc) the metal is noisy (rattles) where the legs connect to the frame. Overall, highly recommend these beds and will not buy anything else.
