Our Great Big Boy Bed.

Comments:
a little tricky to put together- i had much help from my kidlets. (all it took was a little focus). all the dogs are happy with it- smallest to the largest. (it's good for the largest's hips- not too far to climb to his feet). its current home is in our living room, the only place to put it unless it was outside (big bed for a big dog, or alternatively two small dogs and a cat).
i haven't tried it

Easy to set up and perfect height

Comments:
I got this for my 13-yo foster dog with hip issues, and hoped that my own Australian Cattle Dog would like it well enough to get rid of the old ortho foam bed. So far, the foam is still the favored bed. However, the foster dog seems to like the Kuranda, with a sheep-skin rug on it. The low height means that both dogs can easily get on and off without a problem.
I think I like it best - easy to cle

Can't get her off it

Comments:
Tulip is a 60 pound 11-year-old English lab with some arthritis and dysplasia. She has the sheepskin pad too. We move the bed from the living room to the bedroom each night and are having increasing trouble getting her OFF it to pick it up. I think she wants us to move her with the bed.

The BEST dog bed!

Comments:
We first bought this bed for our pup a few years ago. We loved it and he took to it immediately. We never found him laying ANYWHERE else. It toughed out traveling, boarding and even beach days (just be sure to rinse!). We ended up giving it to the in-laws because we wanted to buy a fancy wooden dog bed to match the decor in our new apartment. BIG MISTAKE! Our terrible pooch chewed it to pieces. Br

Best Uses

Comments:
Minus 30 hit our home in Fort McMurray Alberta Canada early this year in October. Our 2 Rottis didn't like the cold floor no matter how many blankets we put down. So they both joined us in our bed until one night Zoey (78lbs) was pushed out by Barry (114lbs) onto the floor where it required a visit to the vet the next day.
Zoey would not get back into our bed again after that but we were afraid that we would never get Barry out while we waited for their beds to be delivered. The day came the beds were delivered and set up and Zoey took to her's and slept like a baby but Barry stood his ground on our bed. The next night we took him out of ours and onto his own bed but when we woke the next morning Barry was back in our bed Oh oh. The next night we again but him in his new bed and at 3:00 when I awoke to put another log on the fire there was Barry 4 paws straight up sound asleep on his new bed next to Zoey between our bed and the fire.

My new puppy just loves this dog bed

  • Long Lasting

Best Uses

Comments:
Our breeder had this dog bed, and suggested we get one, too. It's really working out well. My new puppy just loves to lay on it, as he chews on his toys. I've got it on our back concrete patio area, so it's a much nicer surface for the him to lay on, than the rough patio. Very easy to assemble. Took me about 5 minutes with just a screwdriver. Seems to be well made, and cleans up easily. I've been just hosing it off when dirty. Would definitely recommend this dog bed to others.

Dogs won't use it

Pros

  • Attractive Design
  • Easy To Clean

Best Uses

  • Medium Pet

Comments:
My dogs won't use it, but the cats love it! My dogs are each 75 lbs and I think they find it too small (I ordered the large bed). They both like to stretch out when they sleep. Bed is very good quality and I expect it to last through several more pets in its lifetime.

Poor Manufacturing of Metal Poles

Comments:
Screw holes inside the metal poles separated from the pole during assembly.

There were no instructions included in the packaging. When the Kuranda site was consulted, there was only directions for the standard dog beds.
